Excel Help - How to Use Wildcards in Excel 2013

This video will explain a useful trick for filtering results and finding words that are similar but not identical by using wildcard characters.

Select Find from the Home tab and enter the tern you are looking for.

You can use a question mark if you’re looking for a single character.
For example, if you enter br?an, the program will find both “Bryan” and “Brian”.

Another useful wildcard is the asterisk. Use it to find any number of characters.
For instance, if you enter Sal*, you’ll get a number of results, including “sales” and “salesperson”.
