Excel Help - How to View Two Parts of a Spreadsheet Simultaneously

This video explains how to view two parts of a long spreadsheet or work on two separate spreadsheets at the same time. If you’ve ever tried to view two Excel worksheets or two parts of a large spreadsheet simultaneously, you’ve probably found it frustrating that the program only allows you to keep one window open at a time. Luckily, there’s a very easy way to view, compare and edit all your information without constantly switching between different windows.

If the worksheets are in the same workbook, first go to the View tab to find the Windows group.

Click New Window.

Go back to View and click View Side by Side.

In the workbook window, click the worksheets that you want to compare.

If your worksheets are in different workbooks, first make sure both workbooks are open.
Go to the View tab. In the Window group, click View Side by Side.
