Ed runs Excel4Business. He’s worked as a full-time Excel consultant for over a decade and set up the current website in 2008.
Since then, the site has grown to serve businesses with consultants working across the world. Originally a Materials Science graduate from the University of Cambridge, he enjoys helping clients with all sorts of Excel problems, whilst simultaneously experiencing all the challenges of building up a company.
Jacob is one of 130 or so Microsoft Excel MVP's in the world. This is Microsoft Excel Certification at the highest level.
Jacob has worked as a Microsoft programmer and trainer since 2004. Jacob has completed thousands of projects as a consultant, working with over 100 clients for Excel4Business. Many of this projects are primarily for Microsoft Excel and Access, integrating them with the rest of the MS Office Suite through the use of VBA.
Additionally, Jacob programs in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Power BI and VB.Net.
James started with a Business (Marketing & IT) degree and focused on customer analytics and business modelling. He developed a service to the consumer goods sector to leverage retailer loyalty card data to drive marketing planning & evaluation before deciding to cut down on travel and focus on using that experience in Excel solutions.
He has worked on Excel/Office integration, API connections to many external databases (Xero, Sage, SQL, Google Analytics, Facebook etc) and is happy working on small projects to train and guide users or large integrated multi-user projects.
Bryony coordinates our consultants, as well as managing client accounts. Although not a true spreadsheet wizard herself, she became well acquainted with Excel while completing a doctorate in molecular biology, and is always pleased to see how much can be achieved with the magic of spreadsheets. She is writing a science-fiction novel in her spare time.
Mick Harrison is a Software Consultant with many years of industry experience in Microsoft Office Suite and has achieved a Master certification in this package. He provides solutions, advice and consultancy, working with clients to create Visual Basic applications, databases, interactive spreadsheets, dashboards and so on. In addition to this, Mick teaches computing in colleges and learning centres, and can offer bespoke training courses in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher in a classroom environment, or on a one to one basis, with detailed handouts and full support.
Doug has developed advanced Excel financial and technical applications for Visa, Procter & Gamble, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Gannett, GlaxoSmithKline, Blue Cross Blue Shield and others.
In his spare time, Doug frequents local wineries and is also a top level Angry Birds player.
